The Ant Nest Module X is a unit part of a modular formicarium with dimensions 60 x 60 x 37 mm. A grey X-shaped divider runs through the centre of the nest, dividing the internal space into four smaller sections connected in the middle. This provides ants with a complex nest with several corners where they can store brood and supplies. According to the manufacturer, the module has lower humidity (level 1 from the manufacturer's rating), making it suitable for species that thrive in drier environments. The base consists of a light textured surface, and there are red transparent windows on the sides of the frame.

There are 4 entry holes around the frame, each with a diameter of 10 mm, allowing you to connect the module to adjacent nests, arenas, or accessories from the same range. At the top of the frame, there is a red hole for adding water, and the manufacturer recommends adding approximately 18 ml of water. The nest is covered by a red transparent lid with a small cutout on the edge, which diffuses light while allowing observation of the activity inside. The frame is grey, and the individual parts are assembled using screws provided in the package.

Place the module on a flat and sturdy surface away from direct sunlight, heating, and other heat sources. Refill water through the hole at the top of the frame and adjust the amount based on how moisture is maintained in the nest and how the colony behaves. Keep unused entries closed to ensure the ants remain inside the assembly. After each inspection, replace the lid to maintain dim lighting in the nest. Wipe the frame as needed with a soft dry cloth. As the colony grows, you can gradually add more nests and arenas to the module.

The Ant Nest Module X is suitable for keepers who wish to enhance their modular formicarium with a drier nest featuring a complex interior. The cross divider creates four smaller spaces that the colony can allocate according to its needs. With a unit size of 1 x 1 and four entries, the module can be integrated anywhere in the assembly. The red lid facilitates observation, and assembly can be completed using the 2 screws included in the package. You can rearrange or expand the assembly with additional parts from the same range at any time.
