The Ant Nest Module OO is a double-sized piece of a modular formicarium measuring 120 x 60 x 37 mm. The internal space consists of one elongated nest with two circular areas at the bottom, between which a short partition rises. The colony thus receives ample space for brood, supplies, and rest, while the nest remains organised. According to the manufacturer, the module has high humidity (level 3 according to the manufacturer's rating) and a separate water reservoir, making it suitable for species that require a more humid environment. The base is light and textured, with red transparent windows on the sides of the frame.

At opposite corners of the frame, there are two red holes for water refilling, and the manufacturer recommends adding approximately 18 ml of water to each. Around the module, there are a total of 6 entry holes with a diameter of 10 mm, allowing you to connect it with nests, arenas, and accessories of the same series from both longer and shorter sides. The nest is covered by a large red transparent lid, which provides shade while allowing observation of the colony. The frame is grey, and the parts are joined with screws included in the package.

Place the module on a stable horizontal surface away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Refill water through both holes in the recommended amount and regularly monitor how moist the base of the nest is. Keep unused entries closed to prevent ants from escaping the assembly. Always replace the cover after checking, as the colony feels calmer in the dark. Wipe the surface of the frame as needed with a soft dry cloth. As the colony grows, connect additional nests or arenas to the module and gradually increase the space for it as worker ants multiply.

The OO nest module is suitable for keepers who want to create a spacious and more humid nest in a modular formicarium. The size 1 x 2 offers double the area compared to single modules, and six entries provide great flexibility when assembling the setup. The separate water reservoir helps maintain consistent humidity in the nest. Assembly is straightforward using 4 screws included in the package. You can freely combine it with other parts of the same series and gradually expand the setup.
