The basic set of this modular formicarium is a practical start for anyone who wants to keep ants at home and watch colony life up close. The set consists of 2 connected modules in a 1 x 2 layout, forming a nest chamber and a round arena with transparent walls. The whole unit measures 60 x 120 x 75 mm, so it fits easily on a desk, a shelf or in a children's room. The chamber is divided by a partition and has its own water refill opening with a red cap. The formicarium is suitable for most commonly kept ant species.
The round arena is closed by a transparent cylinder with a lid that has a fine mesh and a brass fitting. Thanks to the transparent walls you can clearly see how the ants move and how the colony gradually arranges its space. The nest chamber is covered by a red transparent cover that can be removed at any time so you can inspect the chamber in peace. Together the modules have six entrance holes with a diameter of 10 mm, through which the formicarium connects to other parts of the same modular system.

Before first use, assemble the modules and check that all parts fit well. Refill water into the nest chamber through the opening with the red cap, regularly as your colony needs. Place the formicarium in a stable spot away from direct sunlight and heat sources so that the conditions inside stay balanced. Keep the red cover on the chamber and remove it only for observation. As the colony grows, you can expand the setup with more modules from the same system and gradually build a larger ant nest.
The basic set of the modular formicarium combines a nest chamber and a round arena into one compact unit with 6 entrance holes. It suits beginners as well as more experienced keepers who want a clear ant farm that is ready for further expansion. The transparent arena walls and the removable chamber cover make daily observation of the colony easy. The water refill opening is easy to reach, so maintenance does not take much time. It is a good base for gradually building a larger setup from other modules of the same series measuring 60 x 60 mm per module.

How do I return goods?
- Email us at info@lunzo.ie with your order number and the items you are returning.
- Pack the goods and send them by post to the returns address in Spain.

If the goods need to be sent back, we will refund the postage for a valid claim (just provide the receipt).

If the variant is available, we will send you instructions for the exchange. You pay the cost of sending the original item back; the new variant will be sent to you at no further charge.
