The HW-710 wall detector is a multifunctional 6-in-1 scanner that shows you what is hidden behind plaster, drywall, or cladding before you drill. It detects wooden and metal joists, metal pipes, rebar, and unshielded AC wires, allowing you to easily identify a safe spot for a plug. Magnetic metals can be detected up to a depth of 80 mm, while non-ferrous metals like copper can be detected up to 60 mm. Live wires can be detected at depths of up to 51 mm, and it alerts you to their presence in all modes. It is suitable for DIY enthusiasts, tradespeople, and general household maintenance.
When searching for joists, you can choose from three modes depending on the thickness of the cladding or board: 13 mm, 25 mm, and 38 mm. If you are unsure of the depth, start with the shallowest mode and only switch to a deeper one if nothing is found. The results are clearly displayed on the backlit LCD screen with a bar graph signal strength indicator, percentage value, directional arrows, and the word CENTER, which lights up above the centre of the joist. A notch at the top of the device allows for precise marking of the detected spot with a pencil. In metal mode, the display also shows the depth of the detected metal, so you know how deep below the surface the pipe or rebar lies.

The detector works on flat surfaces such as plastered and painted walls, wallpaper, wooden floors, or acoustic ceilings. When measuring, place the device flat against the wall, turn it on, and slowly move it sideways until a signal sounds and the centre indicator appears on the display. On the back, you will find a cover for the battery compartment for a 9V battery 6F22, which needs to be purchased separately. When the battery is running low, an icon on the display will alert you, and if you forget about the device, it will automatically turn off after 3 minutes.
The multifunctional HW-710 detector combines joist, metal, and live wire detection in one device. With its compact dimensions of 15 x 6.7 x 3 cm, it is comfortably held in one hand and fits into any tool bag. It will help you securely hang a television, kitchen cabinet, shelf, or picture without drilling into a cable or pipe. How do I return goods?

- We will settle your claim within 30 days at the latest – with a new item, a price reduction or a refund.
If the goods need to be sent back, we will refund the postage for a valid claim (just provide the receipt).

Write to us within 30 days of receipt at info@lunzo.ie with your order number and the variant you are interested in. We usually reply within 24 hours.
If the variant is available, we will send you instructions for the exchange. You pay the cost of sending the original item back; the new variant will be sent to you at no further charge.
