The Tri Clamp end cap is a practical accessory for home brewing that transforms a standard fermentor port into a sealed and controllable inlet. The cap is made of stainless steel and fits onto a 2-inch Tri Clamp flange. On the top side, it features two components: a safety pressure relief valve and a Ball Lock gas connector. This allows you to introduce gas into the vessel via a standard quick connect while ensuring that excess pressure is released. The safety valve is set to 17 PSI, which is approximately 1.2 bar.
The cap is particularly suitable for conical fermenters and sight glasses with a Tri Clamp end, serving as a lid for cold hopping or as a gas inlet during closed transfers of beer. The Ball Lock gas connector is compatible with standard quick connects used with Corny kegs, allowing you to connect your existing gas hose with a quick connect. It is important to note that the designation of 2 inches in the Tri Clamp system does not correspond to the actual diameter of the flange. The actual measurement is 64 mm, or 2.5 inches, which is the basis for selecting the gasket and clamp.

The clamp and gasket are not included, so please prepare a Tri Clamp clamp and gasket for the 2-inch flange for assembly. The valve and connector are threaded and can be disassembled, allowing you to thoroughly clean and inspect the sealing rings after each use. Before fitting the cap, always ensure that the gasket is correctly seated and the clamp is securely tightened. The pull ring on the valve allows you to manually release pressure at any time, for example, before opening the vessel or after completing the transfer.
This end cap is suitable for any home brewer who wants to keep pressure in the fermentor under control and work with beer in a closed system. The combination of the safety valve and Ball Lock connector on one cap saves space on the vessel and additional reducers. The robust stainless construction fits well among other stainless equipment in the home brewery. The cap, with a total height of 54 mm, remains compact and does not obstruct handling of the vessel. It is a simple way to add a gas inlet and pressure safety to a conical fermentor.

How do I return goods?
- Email us at info@lunzo.ie with your order number and the items you are returning.
- Pack the goods and send them by post to the returns address in Spain.

If the goods need to be sent back, we will refund the postage for a valid claim (just provide the receipt).
