Create your own museum exhibit with this stegosaurus skeleton model, which you will assemble from individual parts. The skeleton of this herbivorous dinosaur, featuring distinctive dorsal plates and spikes on its tail, stands on a round black base that mimics the sandy terrain of its discovery. The front of the base displays a golden nameplate reading STEGOSAURUS. The completed model measures 15 cm in length and 14 cm in height, making it a perfect fit for a shelf or desk. The dark surface with golden highlights gives the skeleton the appearance of a genuine fossil.
This model is intended for collectors, model makers, and anyone who loves dinosaurs and prehistory. The recommended age is 14 years and up, as the parts are small and assembly requires patience and fine motor skills. Some parts hold better if you secure them with a drop of plastic glue during assembly, ensuring the model stays intact even when moved. The skeleton itself stands 9.5 cm tall and is 4.5 cm wide, while the base measures 4.5 cm in height. The stegosaurus lived during the Jurassic period, and its dorsal plates are among the most recognisable features of dinosaurs, making this model appealing to both young and old fans of prehistory. The intricately detailed plates, ribs, and spine stand out on a light shelf just as well as in a dark bookcase or glass cabinet. The model also makes a great gift for collectors or students of natural sciences. All parts are made of plastic with a textured surface that faithfully mimics the structure of bone. The wide base provides stability, ensuring the skeleton won't topple over during regular dusting. You can display the model on its own or complement it with other prehistoric skeletons to create a small palaeontological collection at home that will impress any visitor.
