The solid carbide tapered end mill with rainbow coating is a single-tooth tool for milling metric thread M24 x 3 mm on CNC mills and machining centres. The body of the mill is made entirely of sintered carbide, a hard material commonly used for precision cutting tools. The colourful coating covers the cutting head and neck, while the shank is silver. The thread is formed by gradually milling along the helical path, which is controlled by the machine's programme. The tool is clamped via a cylindrical shank with a diameter of 16 mm.

  • Coating on the cutting head — the image shows the head and neck coated in transitions of pink, purple, gold, and blue. The type of coating is not specified by the supplier in the documentation.
  • Thread M24 with a pitch of 3 mm — the mill is designed for a metric thread with a nominal diameter of 24 mm, where the pitch of 3 mm corresponds to the basic coarse pitch. M24 threads are used, for example, in screw connections of large machine parts, load-bearing structures, or heavy frames.

  • Protection of the cutting head — the cutting head can be damaged under overload. Choose appropriate feeds and speeds, and clamp the mill firmly and accurately. Store it in a case when not in the machine to prevent damage to the tooth or coating.
