Overview
Self-Watering Plant Pot with Water Reserve and Wick Measuring 11 x 10 cm with a Bulbous Body, Horizontal Ribbing and Removable Inner Part

The self-watering plant pot consists of a pair of plastic parts, where the lower container holds the water reserve and the upper pot carries the substrate with the plant. The upper part rests on the raised rim of the lower container, and its base remains above the water level, so the roots do not sit in stagnant water, and an air gap remains between the water surface and the substrate. A rope wick leads down from the bottom of the pot, which absorbs water and wicks it into the substrate according to how quickly the soil dries out and how much moisture the plant is currently drawing. The body is bulbous, widest in the middle, and ribbed all the way up, creating a plastic appearance on the shelf, casting a gentle shadow around the edge, and is easy to hold when carrying. Total height 11 cm and diameter 10 cm corresponds to a standard smaller pot, so it fits on a windowsill or on the corner of a table without taking up workspace, and can be lined up next to other pots in a row.

  • Bulbous body with rings – horizontal ribbing runs around the container's entire height, creating a regular structure that retains its shape even when held in a full hand, does not slip from fingers, and conceals small fingerprints and dust on the surface.
  • Water reserve under the pot – the space under the upper part holds a reserve for several days, eliminating the need for daily watering, and the plant can withstand shorter absences without needing someone to check on it.
  • Rope wick in the bottom – one end remains in the substrate and the other hangs into the water, allowing moisture to reach the roots steadily and without alternating between dryness and overwatering, which often damages plants on windowsills.
  • Removable upper part – the pot can be pulled up by the rim, making it easier to top up water, check the level, and transplant the plant into fresh substrate without emptying the entire container.
  • Height 11 cm and diameter 10 cm – the size suits younger houseplants and herbs, and the container fits on a windowsill among other pieces or on a shelf where there is little space above the surface.
  • Wide opening with a rim – the upper opening matches the diameter of the container, making it easy to top up the substrate, and the rim reinforces the edge during repeated removal of the pot.
  • Washable plastic – the smooth walls can be cleaned with a sponge and water, making it easy to wipe off residues from watering and leftover soil from repotting.

Contents of the package:

  • 1x self-watering plant pot

The container finds a place on a windowsill, on a table in the living room, on a desk, or in an office where plants are not visited daily. When first planting, it is advisable to thread the wick through the bottom of the pot so that its upper part lies in the substrate and the lower part hangs freely into the reservoir. It is best to top up the water after removing the upper part and keep the level below its base, so the water does not touch the bottom of the pot and the soil does not become saturated all at once. After repotting, it is beneficial to water the plant from above once, as the dry substrate will only start to wick water once the entire volume is saturated. Occasionally, the reservoir should be flushed with clean water to prevent residues from fertiliser and leftover soil from accumulating in the bottom.
