The M3 x 0.5 mm metric thread mill features a single tooth with a thread profile and a colourful rainbow coating. The tool body is made of carbide, a hard material commonly used for precision cutting tools. The coating covers the cutting head and neck, while the clamping shank is silver. This mill is designed for CNC mills and machining centres, where the machine guides the tool along a helical path according to the programme. It is clamped via a cylindrical shank with a diameter of 4 mm.

  • Coating Shades — the coating transitions between pink, purple, gold, and blue as shown in the image. The type of coating is not specified by the supplier.
  • Common Size M3 — the mill is intended for a metric thread with a nominal diameter of 3 mm and a pitch of 0.5 mm, which is the standard coarse pitch for M3. M3 threads are used in devices, electronics, casings, or small mechanisms.
  • Cutting Tooth and Groove — at the end of the tool is a single tooth with a thread profile, and the image shows a groove for chip removal. The thread is formed gradually, and its length is determined by the programme.
