Ladybird House 2 pcs 17.5 x 14.5 x 12 cm Hanging Insect Hotel Made of Untreated Fir Wood Winter Shelter For Garden and Balcony
You already have the maximum available quantity in your cart.
Ladybird houses provide these beneficial garden helpers with a safe retreat for resting and hibernation. The package includes 2 wooden houses, each measuring 17.5 x 14.5 x 12 cm, allowing you to place them in various locations in the garden or on the balcony. The houses are made of untreated fir wood, which is natural and free from chemical coatings. They feature narrow longitudinal openings on the front wall, allowing ladybirds to easily enter, and the saddle roof protects the interior from rain. Each house has a 25 cm long hanging string.
You can easily hang the houses on a tree branch, pergola, wall hook, or balcony railing. The roof can be removed and the house opened, making it easy to insert dry leaves, straw, or pieces of bark that ladybirds seek for hibernation. The natural wood fits beautifully into any garden and will acquire a natural patina over time. Due to their compact size, the houses can also fit on a small balcony or terrace.

Ladybirds are among the most popular inhabitants of the garden, as their larvae and adult individuals feed on aphids, thus helping to protect plants without chemicals. However, they need a dry and protected shelter for winter, which is often lacking in cultivated gardens. We recommend hanging the houses in a quiet, semi-shaded spot sheltered from wind and rain, ideally near shrubs or flowering plants. Adding dry leaves or straw inside will make the shelter even more enticing. In spring, when the ladybirds leave the house, you can replace the old filling with new and prepare the house for the next season. The houses also make a lovely and practical gift for anyone who cares for a garden.
If you want to support the natural enemies of aphids in your garden, these houses are a practical choice. The set includes two separate houses that you can hang in different locations or give one as a gift. Thanks to the removable roof, the houses are easy to fill and clean. Untreated natural wood is gentle on insects and will blend into the garden throughout the year. Gardeners, families with children, and all nature lovers will appreciate the houses.
