The 5315-90C model is a digital inclinometer in a flat casing that displays the angle on a screen with green digits on a dark background, making it readable from a greater distance. The measurement resolution is 0.05°, allowing for the monitoring of slow adjustments to the slope, with a stated accuracy of ±0.2°. The magnet is located inside the bottom wall, allowing the device to adhere to a steel surface and preventing it from slipping or falling off an edge during machine adjustments. The controls consist of a yellow power button and two grey buttons, one of which switches between slope display and holds the value, while the other is used for zeroing and backlighting. The body is made of plastic with rubber corners, making it suitable for resting on a workbench, carrying in a pocket, and general handling in the workshop.

  • Resolution of 0.05° – the value changes in increments of five hundredths of a degree, making it possible to detect even slight adjustments to the slope that would be lost on a standard level scale.
  • Accuracy ±0.2° – the stated deviation corresponds to the adjustment of saws, furniture assembly, and checking the slope of structures in common workshop and construction practice.
  • Magnet in the bottom wall – the magnet is hidden inside the body, preventing it from collecting shavings while still keeping the device on the saw blade, profile, or machine table.
  • Tilt% button for slope – pressing it switches the value between angle and percentage slope, which is useful when checking the fall of pipes, gutters, or ramp surfaces.
  • Value hold with the hold button – the measured value is frozen on the display, allowing the device to be pulled from a position that is not visible, and the number can be read from a distance.
  • Custom reference zero – the device can be zeroed on a chosen surface, and subsequent measurements will then show deviations from it, which is helpful on a substrate that is not level.
  • Backlit display – the illuminated background highlights the digits in the shadow of the machine, under the table, or in the evening in the garage where there is little light.
  • Powered by two AAA batteries – standard AA batteries can be replaced quickly and are not included in the package, so it is advisable to purchase them separately when ordering.
  • Shock-resistant corners – protruding rubber corners protect the edges and display when placed on a workbench or when dropped from a small height onto a hard floor.

The inclinometer is suitable for adjusting mitre and table saws, mounting shelves and doors, checking the slope of stairs, and measuring angled parts when constructing furniture. Before the first measurement, it is advisable to place the device on a flat surface and calibrate the zero, as all subsequent values depend on this setting. Batteries are not included in the package, so it is worthwhile to have two AAA batteries on hand right when unpacking. The magnetic side should be wiped clean of sawdust and metal shavings, as even a thin layer of dirt can lift the device and shift the angle. After use, simply wipe the device with a soft cloth and store it in a dry place to prevent moisture from entering the battery compartment.
