The area of 60 x 180 cm is sufficient to shade an entire window, glazed doors, or part of a balcony railing or pergola. The band is made up of thin bamboo slats, which are tied together across the width with sturdy cords into a solid unit. Direct sunlight is refracted by the slats, allowing only muted light into the space, making it possible to read and work without glare. The gaps between the slats remain open for air, so heat does not accumulate behind the shade, allowing the area by the window to ventilate naturally. The cord control allows the band to be pulled up into a roll or lowered back down and stopped at the desired height. The natural brown bamboo tone with the grain of the stems additionally complements the appearance of the window, porch, and outdoor seating area.

When operating, the cord is pulled straight and without jerky movements to ensure the slats roll up evenly and the bottom edge of the band remains level. Bamboo does not thrive in constant moisture or standing in the rain, so the blind should be rolled up and stored in a dry and sheltered space for winter. The surface is maintained dry, using a soft brush or cloth along the slats, without water or chemicals. The shade of bamboo varies between individual pieces and gradually develops under the influence of sunlight, which is a natural property of the material, not a defect. When rolled up, the shade takes up little space and can be stored in a cupboard or loft out of season.

How do I return goods?
