Overview
Archaeological Excavation Glowing Pterosaur Skeleton Assembly Plaster Block 17 x 14.5 x 4 cm Model 17 cm For Children Aged 6 and Over

Become a real palaeontologist for a while. This archaeological set hides individual parts of the skeleton of a flying prehistoric reptile in a plaster block. The small explorer's task is to carefully remove the plaster, gradually uncover all the bones, and finally assemble them into a complete model. The finished pterosaur skeleton measures 17 x 14 x 11 cm and is made of a material that glows in the dark after being charged. When the lights go out, the model gently glows green, creating a mysterious exhibit in the children's room.

Excavation develops patience, concentration, and fine motor skills. The child learns to work carefully to avoid damaging any parts, and while assembling the skeleton, they practise spatial imagination and logical thinking. Pterosaurs were flying reptiles that lived at the same time as dinosaurs. Their wings were formed by a membrane stretched between their body and a greatly elongated fourth finger, allowing them to glide over both sea and land. This game is a fantastic opportunity to talk to children about prehistory, how fossils have been preserved to this day, and how scientists work to find them. We recommend slightly moistening the plaster before excavation, as it will be easier to remove and create less dust during work. It is best to work on a mat or newspapers to easily clean up the plaster crumbs.
