The JJC FDA-S2 adapter is a practical kit for digitising film negatives, allowing you to convert old images into digital form using your own camera. The kit is designed for both 35 mm and 120 format film. The basis is a sliding rod, to one end of which you attach the camera and to the other the backlit panel with the film holder. The distance between the camera and the film can be adjusted from 265 to 470 mm, allowing the adapter to work with lenses of various focal lengths. A securing screw locks the chosen position to keep both the camera and film stable during shooting.
The backlit panel offers 11 brightness levels, which can be adjusted using the plus and minus buttons on the wired remote control. The panel is powered via the included 1.5 m USB-C cable, however, the 5 V 2 A power adapter is not included. The film holder easily slides into the panel and can be moved up and down in the groove according to the height of the lens. The ABS plastic holders feature magnetic closures and transparent masks that align the film and help achieve cleaner results. The 35 mm holder accommodates strips with six frames, while the 120 film holder supports formats 6 x 9, 6 x 8, 6 x 7, 6 x 6, and 6 x 4.5. Both holders can also be used with a flatbed scanner with backlighting, and the silicone pads protect the scanner glass from scratches.

Before shooting, attach the camera to the quick-release plate at the end of the rod, mount the entire assembly onto a tripod, and adjust the distance so that the film frame fills the shot. The camera, lens, and tripod are not included. Wipe the panel and holders with a soft dry cloth.
