6.0 mm Red Crochet Hook with Soft Grip and Thumb Rest Aluminium Head for Chunky Yarn Throws Baskets and Scarves
You already have the maximum available quantity in your cart.
The red 6.0 mm crochet hook is suitable for thicker yarns and projects where results are desired quickly. The metal part is made of aluminium, which is lightweight and easy to keep clean. The handle is soft, ergonomically shaped, and does not slip even during extended use. The size 6.0 mm is printed on the handle, so it is always clear which hook is currently in use. The vibrant red colour is easily visible on the table and in the yarn basket.
The diameter of 6.0 mm is ideal for chunky wool, thick acrylic, or yarn made from two strands. It is used to create throws and blankets, scarves, baskets, or pot holders. The hook is approximately 13.7 cm long, and its handle features a flattened thumb rest that helps keep the hook in the same position.
Fast progress is advantageous for large projects, but it requires a hook that fits well in the hand. The soft handle of this hook distributes finger pressure and reduces wrist fatigue. The smooth aluminium shaft allows loops to slide through effortlessly, enabling even chunky yarn to glide smoothly. The hook is also suitable for double yarn, where two skeins are crocheted at once, resulting in a firm and dense fabric.
- Diameter – 6.0 mm
- Material of head and shaft – aluminium
- Grip – soft ergonomic handle with thumb rest
- Colour – red
- Length – approximately 13.7 cm
- Size number – printed on the side of the handle
- Recommended use – throws, blankets, scarves, baskets and pot holders

After use, the hook should be wiped with a dry cloth and stored away from heat. The handle can be washed with lukewarm water and left to air dry. A case is suitable for transport, where the head does not rub against other tools. The red handle also makes it easier to find the hook if it rolls under the sofa or between cushions. It is equally easy to identify in a full box of tools.
The 6.0 mm hook with a red handle is a suitable aid for crocheting with chunky yarn. The lightweight aluminium head and soft grip ensure that even a large throw or basket can be created without unnecessary effort. The printed size number prevents confusion with other hooks. The hook is practical for anyone who prefers quick projects. A thicker hook also facilitates repairs and finishing work, such as edging a blanket or joining individual pieces. The soft handle remains pleasant to the touch even after many hours of work, and the hook remains securely held.
