5.0 mm Purple Crochet Hook with Soft Grip and Thumb Rest Aluminium Shaft for Bulky Yarn Hats Baskets and Cushions
You already have the maximum available quantity in your cart.
The purple 5.0 mm crochet hook is designed for bulkier yarns and quick work on larger pieces. Its shaft is made of aluminium, which is lightweight, sturdy, and glides smoothly through the yarn. The soft grip is comfortable to hold and, thanks to its ergonomic shape, does not twist in the hand. The size number is printed directly on the handle, making it easy to identify the hook without a gauge. The vibrant purple colour adds an elegant touch to the tool.
The handle features a flat area at the top where the thumb naturally rests, and a slight widening in the middle for the other fingers. This grip reduces hand fatigue and allows for delicate wrist movements. The 5.0 mm size is commonly used for bulky yarn, which allows for quick crocheting of hats, cushions, baskets, or throws. The total length of the hook is approximately 13.7 cm.
When using thicker yarn, it is important that the hook head reliably captures the loop and easily pulls it through. The aluminium head of this hook is deep enough and has a rounded shape, preventing the yarn from slipping out and the fibres from fraying. The soft surface of the handle helps maintain a light grip, which is crucial for even stitches. The hook is also well-suited for home decorations, such as seat cushions, placemats, or plant pot covers.

After finishing work, it is advisable to store the hook separately from scissors and needles to prevent scratching. The handle can be cleaned with a damp cloth, while the metal part should be dried. It is best not to leave the hook in direct sunlight, as the handle may fade over time. In a case or box with other sizes, it will remain protected and always within reach.
The purple 5.0 mm hook makes crocheting with bulkier yarns easier, with results appearing quickly. The lightweight aluminium shaft and soft grip with a thumb rest create a comfortable tool for longer use. The printed size number prevents confusion with other hooks. This hook is suitable for both beginner and advanced crafters who want to have a medium to larger size in their set. The purple handle is also easily identifiable among other tools in the basket. With regular use, the hook maintains a smooth head surface, allowing loops to slide off easily and work to progress quickly and smoothly.
