Overview
35 mm 8 MP Negative and Slide Scanner with USB Connection to Computer LED Backlighting 2400 dpi Black for Digitising Old Photographs

The negative and slide scanner converts old 35 mm film into digital format directly on your computer. The image is captured by a CMOS sensor 8 MP with a multi-element lens and fixed focus, while three white LED lights illuminate the film frame from behind. The scanner connects via USB 2.0 cable, which also powers it, meaning no need for a mains adapter, batteries, or memory card. You can view, edit, and save scanned images on the large computer screen rather than a small display. It is ideal for digitising family photographs, holiday snaps, and old slides.

Operation is simple. Insert the negative or slide into the holder, slide it into the scanner's slot, and capture the image using the copy button on the top of the device or in the supplied software. One frame is converted in approximately 2 seconds with a single pass. Exposure and colour balance are set automatically, and you can fine-tune them manually in the software, as well as adjust brightness and individual RGB colour components. The image can also be rotated or mirrored. The holder moves through the scanner, allowing you to proceed to the next frame without removing and reloading the film.

Before scanning, it is advisable to remove dust from the film and mounts using the supplied brush, as every speck will show up in the enlarged image. Handle negatives only by the edges and return them to their cases after use, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Disconnect the scanner from the computer after use and store it in a dry place to prevent dust from entering the holder slot.

This compact scanner with dimensions of 8.3 x 8.3 x 12 cm takes up minimal space on your desk and requires only a free USB port to operate. It can handle both negatives and slides in 35 mm film format and converts them into digital files that you can easily back up, share, or have printed. The scanning software supplied on CD offers basic image adjustments before saving. Holders for negatives and slide mounts are included, so you can start immediately after connecting. It is a practical assistant for anyone looking to preserve their family photo archive in digital form.
