The Edison bulb G80 has a globe-shaped bulb and a narrow filament spiral inside. The spiral wraps around a vertical support and occupies most of the height of the globe, while remaining narrow on the sides. When switched on, the spiral glows yellow-orange, and the globe around it takes on an amber hue. At the bottom, the bulb is finished with a brass base featuring an E27 thread. It consumes 40 W and operates with standard mains voltage of 220 V.
- Narrow Spiral — the spiral is only a fraction of the width of the globe, leaving a wide gap between the filament and the glass. This allows the shape of the spiral to be clearly visible from the side.
- Notched Threads — the filament is twisted into a helix with several threads, and in each thread, it forms a broken, notched line.
- Thread Mounting — short wires are secured to the vertical support in the centre of the spiral, which the individual threads rest against.
- Leads — beneath the spiral, two lead wires spread into a V shape and lead into the glass foot above the base.
- Dimensions — the bulb is 12 cm tall and the globe has a maximum width of 8 cm. Before purchasing, compare the dimensions with the space in the fixture where you intend to place it.
- Base — the brass E27 base has a golden finish and a coarse thread. It fits into E27 sockets in ceiling fixtures, wall lamps, and pendants.
- Consumption — when the bulb is lit for six hours a day over the weekend, it consumes a total of 0.48 kWh. The energy savings cannot be compared to a traditional bulb with LED sources, but it offers the light of an incandescent filament.
- Light Colour — the spiral emits a warm light, ranging from yellow to orange, making it suitable for evening lighting in hallways and living areas.
- Glass of the Globe — the glass is transparent and appears amber when lit. You can see the spiral through it from any angle.
- When Replacing — unscrew the bulb only after it has cooled down, as both the glass and base become hot during use. Do not place it in a closed shade, as the heat has nowhere to escape.
- For Hallways and Staircases — it can be used in wall fixtures or pendants with a short cable in hallways or on staircases. The round shape is also suitable for ceiling fixtures with an open socket.
- Series of Lights — in a longer hallway, you can install several G80 bulbs in a row in wall fixtures. The round bulbs will then create a uniform series of lights.
