The three-flute grooving cutter with dimensions 12 x 20 mm is a straight cutter for milling wide grooves, rebates, and cutouts in wood. The cutting diameter is 12 mm and the length of the cutting edges is 20 mm, which is suitable for wide grooves of standard depth. The cutting edges are made of carbide (TCT) and the cutter is fitted with a shank of 1/2 inch with a diameter of 12.7 mm. It can be used in a router, CNC milling machine, or engraving machine. The cutter is silver with a grey transition between the shank and the cutting edges.
- Groove width 12 mm — the cutter creates a groove 12 mm wide with a flat bottom and vertical walls. It is suitable for recessing thicker panels, strips, and fillings or for wide rebates.
- Cutting edges 20 mm — the working part allows milling to a depth of up to 20 mm. A shorter cutting part means less tool overhang, ensuring that the cutter remains stable in the collet.
- Three cutting edges — during rotation, three cutting edges engage in the cut sequentially, each removing smaller chips. The cut is therefore smoother than with cutters that have fewer cutting edges.
- TCT carbide — the cutting edges are made of carbide, which is harder than tool steel. This material is commonly used for wood and chipboard cutters.
- Shank 12.7 mm — the shank with a diameter of 1/2 inch fits into a 12.7 mm collet. A 12 mm collet is not suitable for it, so please check your machine's equipment before purchasing.
- Total length — the cutter measures 78 mm. The thick shank provides good rigidity in the collet, and the depth of insertion should be chosen according to the machine's manual.
- Hand and CNC use — the cutter can be used in a handheld router, a milling table, a CNC milling machine, or an engraving machine, provided they have a collet for 1/2 inch.
- Wide grooves and rebates — the cutter is designed for wood and multi-layer chipboard. You will use it when making furniture, shelves, frames, and doors where a wide groove is needed.
- Safety — the wide cutter removes a lot of material in one pass, so choose an appropriate feed rate and mill deeper grooves gradually. Secure the workpiece firmly and wear protective eyewear.

How do I return goods?
