TCT Grooving Cutter 10 x 20 mm Straight Three-Edged Shank 1/2 Inch 12.7 mm Tungsten Carbide Router and CNC Silver Wood and Chipboard

The TCT grooving cutter with dimensions 10 x 20 mm is a straight three-edged cutter designed for milling wide grooves, rebates, and cutouts in wood. The cutting diameter is 10 mm and the edge length is 20 mm, making it suitable for wide grooves of standard depth. The edges are made of tungsten carbide and the cutter is fitted with a 1/2 inch shank with a diameter of 12.7 mm. It can be used in a router, CNC machine, or engraving machine. The cutter is silver with a grey transition between the shank and the edges.

  • Wide Cut 10 mm — the cutter creates a groove 10 mm wide with a flat bottom and vertical walls. It is suitable for recessing thicker boards, strips, and infills.
  • Short Working Length 20 mm — the edges allow milling to a depth of up to 20 mm. The shorter cutting length means less tool overhang, thus the cutter holds securely in the collet.
  • Three-Edged Design — during rotation, three edges gradually engage in the cut, each removing a smaller chip. The cut is therefore smoother than with cutters having fewer edges.
  • TCT Edges — the cutting edges are made of tungsten carbide, which is harder than tool steel. Tungsten carbide is commonly used for wood and chipboard cutters.
  • Collet for 12.7 mm Shank — the 1/2 inch diameter shank fits into a 12.7 mm collet. A 12 mm collet is not suitable for it, so please check your machine's equipment before purchasing.
  • Tool Dimensions — the total length of the cutter is 77 mm. The thick shank provides good rigidity in the collet, and the depth of insertion should be chosen according to the machine's manual.
  • Hand Router, Table, and CNC — the cutter can be used in a hand-held router, milling table, CNC machine, or engraving machine, provided they have a 1/2 inch collet.
  • Wide Grooves of Standard Depth — the cutter is designed for wood and multi-layer chipboard. It is suitable for wide grooves and rebates in furniture, shelves, frames, and doors.
  • Safe Operation — the wide cutter removes more material, so choose an appropriate feed rate and mill deeper grooves gradually. Secure the workpiece firmly and wear safety glasses.
