The TCT groove cutter measuring 12 x 40 mm is a straight three-edged cutter with a long working part for wide and deep grooves, half-grooves, and cutouts in wood. The cutting diameter is 12 mm and the length of the edges is 40 mm, allowing the cutter to handle thick beams and boards. The edges are made of carbide and the cutter is clamped with a 1/2 inch shank with a diameter of 12.7 mm. It can be used in a router, CNC machine, or engraving machine. The cutter is silver with a grey transition between the shank and the edges.
- Groove width 12 mm — the cutter creates a groove 12 mm wide with a flat bottom and vertical walls. It is suitable for strong joints and embedding thick parts.
- Working part 40 mm — the edges allow for cutting to a depth of up to 40 mm. Always cut such deep grooves gradually in multiple passes and increase the depth in small increments.
- Three edges on the perimeter — during rotation, three edges gradually engage in the cut, each removing smaller chips. Therefore, the cut is smoother than with cutters with fewer edges.
- Carbide material — the abbreviation TCT denotes the cutting edges made from carbide. This material is harder than tool steel and is commonly used for wood and particle board cutters.
- Collet for 1/2 inch — the shank with a diameter of 12.7 mm fits into a collet of the same diameter. A 12 mm collet is not suitable for it, so please check your machine's equipment before purchasing.
- Overall dimension — the cutter measures 100 mm. The strong shank provides the long tool with the necessary rigidity, and choose the depth of insertion into the collet according to the machine's manual.
- Sufficient machine stroke — the cutter can be used in a router, on a milling table, in a CNC machine, and in an engraving machine with a 1/2 inch collet. With such a long cutter, ensure that your machine has sufficient stroke.
- Strong materials — the cutter is designed for wood and multilayer particle boards. The long edges are useful for thick beams and boards when making furniture, doors, frames, and wooden structures.
- Caution with long cutters — a wide and long cutter removes a lot of material and is more stressed when overloaded. Choose an appropriate feed rate, do not cut the entire depth at once, securely clamp the workpiece, and wear protective glasses.

How do I return goods?
