The hand leather splitter is a manual machine designed for thinning leather, specifically for working with leather straps. The entire construction is stainless steel and features a silver colour. The machine is suitable for leather straps with a thickness of over 0.9 mm that you need to thin or even out to the desired thickness. The thickness of the layer being removed can be adjusted using adjustment screws on both sides. The dimensions of the machine are 15 x 10 x 10 cm, making it occupy minimal space on your workbench.
- Thinning Leather Straps – the splitter is used for thinning leather, meaning it removes a layer from the underside of the strap. It is useful when making belts, straps, and other leather parts where a uniform thickness is required.
- Adjustable Thickness – on both the left and right sides of the machine are adjustment screws for setting the thinning thickness. These allow you to tailor the machine to the thickness of the leather being processed and the desired outcome. Before processing the entire strap, we recommend testing the setting on a scrap piece of leather.
- Manual Operation – the machine operates manually and does not require electricity. By pressing the handle, the roller moves away from the blade, you insert the leather, and upon releasing the handle, it is drawn through the machine. This process can be repeated until the desired thickness is achieved.
- Roller and Springs – the leather is pressed against the blade by a roller, which is held in position by a pair of springs. The pressure from the roller helps guide the strap evenly along its length.
- Blade Replacement – the blade is secured with screws to the top plate, allowing it to be replaced once worn out. The blades measuring 95 x 18 mm are shown in the image. Replacement occurs by loosening the screws, inserting a new blade, and tightening them again.
- Stainless Steel Construction – the frame, base, handle, and top plate are made of stainless steel in a silver colour. The sturdy metal construction is suitable for repeated use in the workshop.
- Mounting Holes – the base plate has holes in the corners, allowing you to screw the machine to the workbench. A secured machine does not shift while pulling the leather through. The machine can also be used freely placed on the table.
- Dimensions – the base measures 15 x 10 cm and the height of the machine is 10 cm. Its compact size allows the machine to be stored in a cupboard or drawer when not in use.

How do I return goods?
- Email us at info@lunzo.ie with your order number and the items you are returning.
- Pack the goods and send them by post to the returns address in Spain.

If the goods need to be sent back, we will refund the postage for a valid claim (just provide the receipt).
