The grooving cutter measuring 12 x 30 mm is a straight three-edged cutter designed for milling wide and deeper grooves, rebates, and cut-outs in wood. The cutting diameter is 12 mm and the length of the cutting edges is 30 mm, allowing the cutter to handle thicker boards and beams. The edges are made of tungsten carbide (TCT) and the cutter is fitted with a 1/2 inch shank with a diameter of 12.7 mm. It can be used in a router, CNC milling machine, or engraving machine. The cutter is silver with a grey transition between the shank and the edges.
- Cutting Width 12 mm — the cutter creates a groove 12 mm wide with a flat bottom and vertical walls. It is suitable for strong joints and embedding thicker parts.
- Depth up to 30 mm — the edges allow milling to a depth of 30 mm. Always mill wide and deep grooves gradually in multiple passes, increasing the depth in smaller increments.
- Alternating Three Edges — during rotation, three edges engage in the cut sequentially, each removing a smaller chip. The cut is therefore smoother than with cutters having fewer edges.
- TCT Cutting Edges — the edges are made of tungsten carbide, which is harder than tool steel. This material is commonly used for cutters designed for wood and chipboard.
- 1/2 Inch Shank — the shank with a diameter of 12.7 mm fits into a collet of the same diameter. A 12 mm collet is not suitable, so please check your machine's equipment before purchasing.
- Tool Size — the total length of the cutter is 90 mm. The thick shank provides good rigidity to the tool, and the depth of insertion into the collet should be chosen according to the machine's instructions.
- Routers and CNC Machines — the cutter can be used in a hand-held router, a milling table, a CNC milling machine, or an engraving machine, provided they have a collet for 1/2 inch.
- Thicker Boards and Beams — the cutter is designed for wood and multi-layer chipboard. The longer edges are useful for thicker boards and beams when making furniture, frames, doors, and wooden structures.
- Milling Recommendations — the wide cutter removes a lot of material in one pass, so do not overload it and choose an appropriate feed rate. Secure the workpiece firmly and wear protective glasses.

How do I return goods?
