Overview
Digital Calliper 300 mm for Large Parts with a Deviation of 0.04 mm and Jaw Arms of 60 mm, IP54 Rating, and Readout in Millimetres and Inches

The sliding gauge with electronic readout covers dimensions from zero to 300 mm, which is the range for sheets, profiles, discs, bearing housings, and longer shafts. The stated measurement deviation is ±0.04 mm, meaning the value on the display corresponds to the inspection of semi-finished products, material thickness, and spacing between holes before drilling. The steel bar is 390 mm long and 16 mm wide, providing the rigidity necessary to prevent the long arm of the slider from bending under its own weight. The lower jaws extend 60 mm from the edge of the bar, while the upper blades measure internal diameters, and a tongue extends from the end of the bar for depth measurement. The IP54 rating at the zero point of the scale indicates that the construction can withstand dust and splashing water, which is useful in a workshop by a machine, in a carpentry shop among sawdust, or outdoors on a construction site.

  • Range up to 300 mm – thirty centimetres of travel captures the width of a sheet, profile, or longer shaft in one placement, eliminating the need to combine two measurements and calculate the remainder.
  • Stated deviation ±0.04 mm – tolerance of four hundredths of a millimetre is sufficient for checking workpieces, sheet thickness, wooden beams, and gaps between mating surfaces, where measurements are taken in tenths of a millimetre.
  • Jaw arms of 60 mm – the long lower jaws can encompass bulkier parts and reach deep behind the edge, allowing for measurement in the middle of a wide sheet.
  • Scale in mm and inches – the bar features both systems, and the display can be switched between them with a button, allowing the same part to be recorded directly in the unit required by the drawing or manufacturer's catalogue.
  • IP54 marking on the jaws – the stated rating describes resistance to dust and splashing water when working by a machine, on a saw, or outdoors.
  • Depth gauge at the end of the bar – a thin sliding tongue measures the depth of a hole, notch, or groove, replacing a separate depth gauge that would need to be purchased and stored separately.
  • Tool length 390 mm – the gauge fits into a workbench drawer or a toolbox and maintains its shape during transport even without support in the middle of the bar.
  • Zero button for zeroing – the display can be reset to zero at any position of the slider, making it easy to determine the difference between two dimensions or an addition for machining.

A calliper with this range is suitable for metalworking, carpentry workshops, service, and construction sites where larger pieces of material are checked. Before measuring, it is advisable to close the jaws, wipe them free of dust, and zero the display, as an error at zero will affect every reading with a longer bar. When measuring wide parts, it is advisable to support the free end of the bar to prevent the weight of the gauge from affecting the placement of the jaws. The jaws should be applied lightly, as excessive pressure can compress thin material, resulting in a lower value. After finishing work, the gauge should be wiped dry and stored in the case, where it has its own bed and the long jaws are protected from bending.
