Wall switches and dimmers control the lighting in every room and also shape the look of your interior. Choose from classic rocker switches, double and triple models for several circuits, tempered glass touch panels, smart switches controlled via an app, and rotary or touch dimmers.
Light switches and dimmers
Rocker switches are the simplest and very durable solution for everyday light control. Double and triple versions operate two or three circuits from one spot, for example the ceiling light and table lamps. Two-way switches let you turn the light on and off from two places, such as a hallway or staircase.
Touch switches with a glass panel respond to a light touch, and their smooth surface is easy to clean. Smart switches with Wi-Fi or Zigbee are controlled from a mobile app or voice assistant and let you set schedules and scenes. Some require a neutral wire in the back box, which is not always present, so check the wiring before buying.
Dimmers adjust brightness smoothly and create soft lighting for relaxing in the evening. For LED lighting, choose a dimmer designed for LED loads and dimmable bulbs, otherwise the light may flicker or hum. Leave replacing a switch to a qualified electrician and switch off the relevant circuit breaker before any work.
