Christmas napkins
A festive table also needs small details that complete the Christmas atmosphere. Christmas napkins bring snowflake, mistletoe, gingerbread, reindeer or gold star designs to the table and suit Christmas dinner, mince pies and biscuits, as well as Advent get-togethers with family and friends.
Christmas napkins
Matching the festive table to your Christmas decorations is easy, even without new tableware. Simply choose napkins in colours that go with the tablecloth, candles or tree.
Paper napkins are the most common choice. They are usually 3-ply, absorbent and pleasantly soft. The standard 33 × 33 cm size suits the main meal, while the smaller 25 × 25 cm size is ideal for tea, coffee and treats. Classic red and green combinations, elegant gold and silver, and wintry designs in white and blue are all popular.
Napkins are not just for mealtimes. They can be folded into trees or stars, placed in napkin rings or used for decoupage to decorate candles, baubles and gift boxes.
When buying, it is worth thinking about the number of guests and the fact that napkins also get used over the holidays with tea, coffee and treats for visitors. A pack usually contains 20 napkins, so for a larger family it is practical to pick up two or three packs with matching designs.
