V-Point engraving bits 40° x 0.3 mm combine a medium tip angle with a strong tip that has a distinct flat end. They create grooves with a flat bottom that is 0.3 mm wide, which are more pronounced than lines from finer tips. The pack contains 10 pieces of three-flute pyramid bits made from solid carbide. The bits are clamped with a 3.175 mm shank into the collet of a CNC milling machine or engraving machine. All pieces are silver and have the same specifications.

  • Angle 40° for medium lines — the sides of the tip form an angle of 40°, allowing the groove to widen evenly and not too quickly with depth. The line remains clearly readable even at smaller letters.
  • Strong tip 0.3 mm — the tip ends with a flat area of 0.3 mm width. Such a tip is sturdier than 0.1 mm and 0.2 mm tips and better withstands working loads.
  • Length of the bit — the overall length of the tool is 31 mm. The short bit with a solid cutting part bends less during engraving and holds firmly in the collet.
  • Three flutes on the pyramid — the cutting part shaped like a triangular pyramid has three flutes that engage progressively as it rotates. Material removal is smooth, and chips can exit from all sides of the tip.
  • Carbide — the bits are made from solid carbide, also known as hard metal. This material is harder than tool steel and is commonly used for engraving bits.
  • Diameter 1/8 inch — the shank measures 3.175 mm. Clamp the bit into a collet for this diameter; a 3 mm collet is not suitable for it.
  • Flat bottom of the line — thanks to the 0.3 mm tip, the groove has a distinct flat area at the bottom. Therefore, the line appears fuller than sharp V-shaped grooves and can hold more colour when filled in.
  • Signs and plaques — the bit is suitable for signs, plaques, name tags, and outlines of designs where you want a more pronounced line. For very fine text, smaller tips are more suitable.
  • Stock for longer work — the pack contains ten bits with the same angle, tip, and length. You can replace a worn piece with a new one and continue working with the same tool parameters.
  • Contents of the pack — 10x engraving V-bit 40° x 0.3 mm.

V-Point engraving bits 40° x 0.3 mm are suitable for more pronounced lines with a flat bottom groove. The medium tip angle keeps the line readable, and the strong tip is more durable than finer variants. Three-flute bits made from solid carbide have a length of 31 mm and a shank of 3.175 mm for CNC milling machines and engraving machines. Ten identical pieces in the pack ensure replacement for longer work. You will find them useful in the workshop and at home for engraving signs, plaques, name tags, and decorative designs.
