The grooving router with dimensions 6 x 26 mm has a straight profile and three carbide (TCT) cutters. It is designed for milling grooves, semi-grooves, and cutouts in wood as well as multilayer chipboard. The cutting length of 26 mm allows for deeper grooves in thicker materials. The router is secured with a shank diameter of 12.7 mm (1/2 inch) into a router, CNC machine, or engraving machine. It is silver and has a black ring at the top of the shank.
- 6 mm Profile — the cutting diameter is 6 mm, resulting in a groove width of 6 mm, flat bottom, and vertical walls. It is suitable for joints and recessing parts of corresponding thickness.
- Cutting Length 26 mm — the cutters allow milling up to a depth of 26 mm. For deeper grooves, add depth gradually in multiple passes to avoid overloading the tool.
- Triple Flute Tool — three cutters alternate in engagement during rotation, each removing a smaller chip. This results in a smoother cut than routers with fewer flutes.
- Carbide Cutting Edge — the cutting edges are made from carbide, which is harder than tool steel. Carbide is commonly used in routers for wood and chipboard.
- 12.7 mm Collet — the shank with a diameter of 1/2 inch is secured in a 12.7 mm collet. Do not secure it in a 12 mm collet as it would not hold reliably. Therefore, check your machine's equipment before purchasing.
- Router Length — the total length of the tool is 74 mm. The robust shank provides good rigidity in the collet. Choose the depth of shank insertion according to your machine's manual.
- Hand Router, Table, and CNC — this router can be used in a hand-held router, routing table, CNC router, or engraving machine, provided they have a collet for 1/2 inch.
- Cabinets and Shelves — the router is intended for wood and multilayer chipboard. It is suitable for making cabinets, shelves, drawers, and other furniture parts with grooved joints.
- Working Tips — before milling, ensure the router is tightly secured and the workpiece is well clamped. Choose an appropriate feed rate and always wear protective glasses.
