The turning inserts labelled SP300 NC3030 serve as replacement cutting edges for grooving and parting metal workpieces. The set includes 10 pcs of golden carbide inserts, which are supplied in a blue plastic box. The inserts fit into the parting tool or holder for the SP300 type, which is clamped into the tool head of the lathe. The NC3030 grade is stamped on each insert, allowing you to identify it in the workshop even without the original packaging. This is a consumable item that is worthwhile to keep in stock in the workshop.
- Two operations with one tool — the insert can handle both grooving and parting of finished components. Thus, only one holder with one type of insert is needed for both operations. Fewer types of tools mean simpler preparation and a clearer workshop.
- Grooves and notches — with the insert, you can create grooves for retaining rings, sealing rings, notches for threads, or decorative grooves on shafts and pins.
- Parting of the component — after finishing the turning, you can separate the finished component from the bar using the insert. This allows you to process the component from start to finish without having to re-clamp it on another machine or cut it with a saw.
- Carbide material — the inserts are made from sintered carbide. This material is used for cutting tools for metal as it is significantly harder than standard tool steel.
- Replacement cutting edges — when the edge wears out, you simply remove the insert and replace it with a new one. This saves time, as replacement cutting edges do not need to be re-ground. A new insert always has the same cutting edge shape, ensuring consistent results.
- Stamped grade NC3030 — the marking on the insert facilitates identification if you use inserts of different grades in the workshop. The same marking can be found on the label of the box.
- Golden colour — the inserts have a golden surface, making them easily visible on the workbench and in the tool drawer, where they can be easily distinguished from grey inserts.
- Storage in a box — the inserts are divided into compartments, so they do not knock against each other and the cutting edges remain protected until use. The box is compact and fits into a drawer, toolbox, or on a shelf by the lathe.
- Compatible holder — the inserts are designed for SP300 type holders. The tool holder is not included in the package, so please verify the type of your holder before purchase.
