Overview
Set of 9 Shaped Scrapers and Painting Knives for Texture with Blades Widths of 1.5 to 3.5 cm for Oil Painting, Acrylic, and Relief Techniques

Structured painting relies on the trace left by the tool in the applied layer of paint, which is why this set contains nine different blade shapes. It includes ridged and comb profiles, a fan with grooves, wavy strips, and wide spatulas for spreading. The blade widths range from 1.5 to 3.5 cm and lengths from 3.8 to 8 cm, allowing for work on fine details as well as large areas of canvas. The metal blades are thin and flexible, mounted on curved handles that keep the hand above the surface of the painting. The tools are suitable for both oil and acrylic paints, as well as for structural pastes and modelling materials.

  • Nine shapes in one set — from ridges and combs to wavy profiles and fans with grooves and smooth spatulas.
  • Widths of 1.5 to 3.5 cm — narrow pieces draw fine lines while wider ones cover larger areas with texture in one stroke.
  • Blade lengths of 3.8 to 8 cm — longer profiles draw a continuous line without interruption, which is useful for backgrounds and long stripes.
  • Curved handles — the hand remains above the surface of the painting and does not touch the freshly applied paint.
  • Thin flexible blades — they flex according to pressure, allowing the depth of grooves to be adjusted by the force of pressure without changing tools.
  • For oil and acrylic — profiles work in thick oil paint just as well as in acrylics and in structural pastes.
  • Easy cleaning — smooth metal can be wiped with a cloth or rinsed, and shades do not mix between different colours.

Contents of the package:

  • 1x scraper with a ridged edge 3 x 3.8 cm
  • 1x scraper with fan grooves 3.5 x 4 cm
  • 1x scraper with a comb ending in balls 3.5 x 4.5 cm
  • 1x scraper with a wavy profile 1.5 x 7.5 cm
  • 1x scraper with a stepped profile 2 x 7.5 cm
  • 1x scraper with a slanted end 2 x 8 cm
  • 1x scraper with rectangular cutouts 2.4 x 6.3 cm
  • 1x scraper with a coarse comb 2.4 x 6.5 cm
  • 1x scraper with a fine comb 2.4 x 6.5 cm

Texture is best achieved in a thicker layer of paint, into which the blade is dipped and material is pushed aside. By alternating tools, one can create grass, wool, wooden drawings, or regular grids on a single canvas without needing to add anything with a brush. Nine profiles cover fine grooves as well as pronounced deep tracks, making the set applicable from studies on paper to large paintings. The tools can also be used to apply paint from the palette and to mix shades directly on the canvas. After finishing work, it is advisable to clean the blades before drying, as fresh paint comes off the smooth metal surface without solvents.
