The router bit with dimensions 6 x 30 mm has a straight profile and is designed for deep grooves, half grooves, and cutouts in wood. The cutting diameter is 6 mm and the cutting edges are 30 mm long, allowing the bit to handle thicker materials. The three cutting edges are made of tungsten carbide (TCT) and the bit is secured with a 1/2 inch shank with a diameter of 12.7 mm. In addition to routers, it can also be used in CNC milling machines or engraving machines. The bit is silver and features a black ring on the shank.
- Diameter 6 mm — the groove width is 6 mm. The bottom is flat and the walls are vertical, making the groove suitable for joints and recessing parts of corresponding thickness.
- Long Cutting Edges 30 mm — the working length allows for milling to a depth of up to 30 mm. Always mill such deep grooves gradually in multiple passes and increase the depth in smaller increments to avoid overloading the tool or machine.
- Three Cutting Edges — the edges alternate during rotation, each removing a smaller piece of material. This results in a smoother cut than bits with fewer edges.
- Material of Cutting Edges — the cutting edges are made of carbide, which is harder than tool steel. Carbide cutting edges are commonly used for machining wood and chipboard.
- 1/2 Inch Collet — the shank has a diameter of 12.7 mm and fits into a collet of the same diameter. A 12 mm collet is not suitable, so please check your router's equipment before purchasing.
- Overall Size — the total length of the bit is 78 mm. The thick shank helps keep the tool stable even with a longer working part. Choose the depth of insertion into the collet according to your machine's instructions.
- Hand and Machine Use — the bit can be secured in a hand router, a router table, a CNC milling machine, or an engraving machine with a 12.7 mm collet.
