Piercing probes for automotive multimeters are diagnostic tools for measuring voltage and continuity on cables and connectors in vehicles. The set includes two types of probes, thin probes with a needle tip and piercing probes with a hook. Needle probes are inserted from the back into the connector next to the wire, allowing measurement without disconnecting it. Piercing probes with a hook catch the wire, and the thin needle penetrates the insulation to the core of the cable without needing to strip the wire. The probes are designed for voltages up to 30 V and each type is available in red and black to distinguish polarity.

  • Needle Probes — The thin metal tip can fit into tight spaces between wires and the connector seal. The probe is inserted from the back to the contact, enabling measurement without disconnecting the connector.
  • Piercing Probes with Hook — The wire is placed into the hook at the end of the probe, and the fine needle pierces the insulation to reach the core of the wire. When removed, only a small hole remains in the insulation.
  • 30 V Voltage — The value of 30 V is marked on the body of each probe. Therefore, the probes are suitable for measuring in low-voltage circuits, such as the vehicle's electrical system.
  • Red and Black Colour — Each type of probe is available in red and black in the set. This makes it easy to distinguish the positive and negative terminals when connecting to the multimeter's measuring cables.
  • Insulated Body — The body of the probe is made of plastic with a knurled or hexagonal grip, which is comfortable to hold. The white attachment of the piercing probe protects the hand when working with the wire.
  • Connection to 4 mm Banana Plugs — The bottom part of the probe features a socket with a diameter of 4 mm, into which you can insert the banana plug of the multimeter's measuring cable, both covered and uncovered. The wire cannot be directly soldered or screwed to the probe.
  • Dimensions — The needle probe measures 79 mm, and the metal tip itself is 19.8 mm long. Thanks to its slim shape, it can access tight spaces in the engine compartment.
  • Accurate Measurement — The thin tip directly touches the metal contact or the core of the wire, allowing the multimeter to measure the actual value in the circuit. The probes can be used for measuring voltage, resistance, and continuity.
  • Easy to Use — Attach the probes to the multimeter's measuring cables, red to the positive and black to the negative cable. Then insert the probe into the connector or hook the wire into the hook and read the value on the display.
