You already have the maximum available quantity in your cart.
Passiflora mollissima, also known as tarminiana, curuba or passion fruit, is a climbing vine cultivated for its delicious edible fruits. The elongated fruits resemble a small banana in shape, featuring a yellow skin and an orange aromatic pulp full of seeds, as clearly shown in the image of the sliced fruit. The fruits are edible and have a refreshing tangy flavour, particularly popular in juices and beverages. The plant climbs using tendrils and easily covers supports. The pack contains 5 seeds from which you can grow your own plant. It can be grown in a pot with support, in a greenhouse or conservatory.
Key features:
- Elongated yellow edible fruits — the fruits resemble a small banana in shape, have a yellow skin and are edible, hiding an orange aromatic pulp full of seeds inside.
- Aromatic tangy flavour — the orange pulp has a refreshing tangy flavour, particularly favoured in juices, drinks and desserts.
- Curuba passion fruit — this species belongs to the Andean passion fruits of the curuba group, which you can grow from seed and harvest your own fruits.
- Climbing vine — the plant climbs using tendrils and produces long climbing shoots, which are suitable for guiding along a support, trellis or pergola.
- Pot cultivation — the plant can be grown in a pot with support and can be placed in a greenhouse, conservatory or sheltered outdoor location depending on space.
- Useful and ornamental — in addition to its tasty fruits, the plant blooms with striking pink flowers, thus combining utility with ornamental value.
- Pack of 5 seeds — the smaller pack is suitable for trying out cultivation or for growers who want to obtain several plants for their own fruit harvest.
- Growing from seeds — you have full control over the entire development of the plant from germination to fruit harvest and can observe each phase of growth and flowering.
- Suitable for support — thanks to the tendrils, it easily covers a trellis, lattice or pergola, making it serve as a natural green screen in the greenhouse.
