Passiflora caerulea, blue passion flower, is one of the most well-known and popular climbing passion flowers. This species is renowned for its striking blue and white flowers with a complex crown and produces orange fruits after flowering, as clearly seen in the image of a cut fruit with red seeds. The fruits are edible but have a rather bland taste, so they are consumed only occasionally. The plant climbs quickly using tendrils and easily covers supports. The pack contains 5 seeds, from which you can grow your own plant. It is cultivated in a pot with support, in a greenhouse, or in a conservatory.
Key features:
- Orange edible fruits — after flowering, orange fruits with red seeds appear, which are edible but have a rather bland taste, as seen in the cut fruit in the picture.
- Blue flowers — the blue passion flower is famous for its striking blue and white flowers with a complex crown, which are among the most beautiful of climbing plants.
- Fast-growing vine — the plant climbs using tendrils and quickly covers supports, trellises, or pergolas, creating a dense green backdrop in no time.
- Popular species — caerulea is among the most well-known and widely cultivated passion flowers, making it suitable for novice growers.
- Pot cultivation — the plant can be grown in a pot with support and can be placed in a greenhouse, conservatory, or a sheltered outdoor location depending on space.
- Palmatifid leaves — the plant has characteristic palmatifid green leaves, which contribute to its distinctive appearance.
- Pack of 5 seeds — the smaller pack is suitable for trying out cultivation or for growers who want to obtain several plants for themselves or as a gift.
- Growing from seeds — you have full control over the entire development of the plant from germination to flowering vine, allowing you to adapt it to your conditions.
- Suitable for support — thanks to the tendrils, it easily covers trellises, arches, or pergolas, serving as a natural green screen.
