The twenty-four appears on the hubs of trailer wheels, on connecting rods, and on large fastenings, where it is necessary to tighten firmly while also getting into a confined space. The wrench combines two ends into one tool: ratchet ring with 72 teeth and a fixed open end for joints accessible only from the side. The gearing engages a new grip after turning by just five degrees, so the wrench does not need to be removed and reattached after each pull. The arm is extended to 300 mm and provides a torque that a short wrench of this size cannot achieve, without the need to search for a pipe to adjust. The head with the ring is 48 mm wide and 14.5 mm thick, while the open end measures 51 mm with a thickness of 11 mm. The body has a dark grey surface, the ratchet ring is gold-coloured, and the number 24 is embossed on both sides of the arm.

  • 72-tooth gearing — fine division means engagement every 5° and smooth operation even in spaces where the hand can only move a little, such as between the wheel arch and axle.
  • Length 300 mm — the extended arm provides leverage corresponding to size 24 mm and reduces the force that needs to be applied by hand.
  • Ring width 48 mm — the twelve-sided fitting encircles the nut all around and distributes force onto the edges instead of the corners, saving fasteners even during repeated disassemblies.
  • Open end 51 mm — the open end with a thickness of 11 mm can be applied from the side where the ring cannot reach due to a guide or hose.
  • Direction switch — the lever in the ratchet ring switches between tightening and loosening without turning the entire wrench.
  • Embossed size 24 — the marking on both sides of the arm speeds up the selection of the correct wrench from the laid-out set or from the parts bag.

This tool belongs in automotive service, in workshops for agricultural machinery, and in the assembly of steel structures, where screw joints of this size are commonly found. It is also useful for maintaining towing equipment and when working on chassis, where the same size is repeated in multiple places. The ratchet side is used for quickly threading on a nut and for tightening; the first break of a rusted joint is better done with a fixed wrench or socket head. The ring must be applied all the way to the stop, otherwise the torque will only be transmitted to part of the edges and the nut will round off. The ratchet gearing should be occasionally cleared of dust and kept lubricated with a drop of oil for smooth operation. The thickness of the ring is 14.5 mm which keeps the gearing in a firm grip even under higher loads, and the head does not expand under pressure. The dark grey surface with a gold ring is easily wiped clean of grease and the wrench remains legible even after prolonged use in the workshop. It can be stored in a drawer of the trolley or hung on a wall panel with other sizes.
