The extended groove cutter with dimensions 8 x 40 mm is designed for deep straight grooves, rebates, and cutouts in wood. The cutting diameter is 8 mm and the blades are 40 mm long, allowing the cutter to handle thick boards and beams. The three blades are made of tungsten carbide (TCT) and the cutter is clamped with a 1/2 inch shank with a diameter of 12.7 mm. It can be used in a router, CNC milling machine, or engraving machine. The entire cutter is silver with a light grey transition between the shank and the cutting part.
- Groove 8 mm — the cutter creates a groove 8 mm wide with a flat bottom and vertical walls. This width is suitable for stronger joints and the embedding of parts of corresponding thickness.
- Blades 40 mm long — the working part allows milling to a depth of up to 40 mm. Always mill such deep grooves gradually in multiple passes, adding depth in smaller increments.
- Three blades around — the blades alternate in engagement during rotation, each removing a smaller chip. This results in a smoother cut than cutters with fewer blades.
- Tungsten carbide cutting part — the cutting edges are made of tungsten carbide, which is harder than tool steel. This material is commonly used for wood and particle board cutters.
- Collet diameter 12.7 mm — the 1/2 inch shank fits into a 12.7 mm collet. A 12 mm collet is not suitable for it, so please check your machine's equipment before purchasing.
- Long tool — the total length of the cutter is 98 mm. The strong shank provides the cutter with the necessary rigidity, and the depth of insertion into the collet should be chosen according to the machine's instructions.
- Suitable milling machines — the cutter can be used in a router, milling table, CNC milling machine, and engraving machine, provided they have a collet for 1/2 inch and sufficient stroke.
- Beams and thick boards — the long blades are suitable for thick boards and solid wood beams as well as for multi-layer particle boards. They are useful in furniture making, frames, doors, and wooden constructions.
- Caution with long cutter — a long tool is subjected to more stress than a short one when overloaded. Choose an appropriate feed rate, secure the workpiece firmly, and wear safety glasses while working.

How do I return goods?
