The engine flusher is a practical tool for flushing the cooling system of an outboard motor with fresh water away from the water surface. It consists of a pair of sealing ear muffs connected by a flexible wire bracket, which presses them from both sides against the leg of the motor at the intake of cooling water. The flusher is designed for outboard motors from 60 HP and water is distributed from a single connection through a stainless steel distributor via two hoses into both ear muffs. The connection features a quick coupling for a garden hose, so you can connect it without tools. The ear muffs and hoses are in black, and the flusher is suitable for maintaining the motor after sailing in the sea, brackish water, and freshwater lakes.
- Dimensions — The overall length of the flusher is 43 cm and the width is 13.6 cm. The sealing ear muff has a height of 13 cm and a width of 8.7 cm, effectively covering the intake openings for cooling water on the motor leg.
- For motors from 60 HP — The flusher is intended for outboard motors with a power of 60 HP or more. Before purchasing, check the location and size of the intake openings on your motor.
- Stainless steel distributor — The upper part of the flusher consists of a U-shaped distributor made of stainless steel, which divides the water from the connection into two branches. The metal distributor is sturdy and resistant to moisture.
- Dual tube design — From the distributor, two hoses lead to both ear muffs, allowing water to flow into the intake openings from both sides of the motor leg simultaneously. The hoses are secured to both the distributor and the ear muffs with metal clamps.
- Hose quick coupling — The upper connection is equipped with a quick coupling, to which you can attach a standard garden hose with a compatible end.
- Flexible bracket — Both ear muffs are held together by a U-shaped wire bracket, which presses them against the motor leg. Once fitted, the flusher stays in place without additional fixation.
- Flushing the cooling system — Fresh water flushes out salt, sand, and debris from the cooling channels that accumulate after sailing. Regular flushing helps protect the motor's cooling system.
- Easy fitting — Spread the bracket, place the ear muffs on the motor leg to cover the intake openings, and connect the hose. After flushing, disconnect the hose and remove the flusher.
- Safe use — Always let the water run before starting the engine and check that water is flowing from the check hole while the engine is running. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for your motor.
- Post-season maintenance — The flusher is useful after every sailing and when preparing the motor for winter storage, when it is advisable to thoroughly flush the cooling system.
- Before connecting the hose — Check that the end of your hose matches the quick coupling and that the water supply is sufficient. A weak flow may not provide adequate cooling for the motor.
