Overview
Dioptric Magnifying Glass for Welding Helmet 2.25 Dioptres Size 11 x 5.5 cm Thickness 3 mm Glass Black Frame For Precise Welding

The dioptric magnifying glass is inserted into the welding helmet behind the protective filter and enlarges the image of the weld pool and the surrounding joint. The strength of 2.25 dioptres is an intermediate value between two and two and a half, making it ideal for welders who find neither of these values suits them perfectly. Glass size 11 x 5.5 cm corresponds to the internal holders of magnifying glasses in standard welding helmets. The glass is set in a black frame with the value printed at the top, so you won't confuse the different strengths. The magnifying glass does not replace the protective filter; it merely complements the helmet with magnification.

  • Glass material — the magnifying glass is made of glass, which, unlike plastic, does not scratch easily when wiped.
  • Thickness — the glass has a thickness of 3 mm, ensuring it retains its shape and does not distort the image at the edges.
  • Compatibility — the size 11 x 5.5 cm fits holders in standard welding helmets.
  • Reduction of eye strain — magnification facilitates focus on the weld and reduces eye fatigue during longer shifts.
  • Working distance — a higher dioptre value shortens the distance at which the image is sharp, so expect to work closer to the piece.
  • Precision of work — a larger image helps maintain a stable distance of the torch and even laying of the weld bead.
  • Value marking — the strength is printed directly on the frame, so you know which magnifying glass you have in the helmet.
  • Easy replacement — the magnifying glass can be removed and replaced with another strength at any time, depending on the type of work.
  • Contents of the package — 1x dioptric magnifying glass

The value of 2.25 dioptres is chosen by welders for whom a strength of two is no longer sufficient, but a stronger magnifying glass would force them to work uncomfortably close to the piece. If you wear reading glasses, select a magnifying glass with a similar strength to your glasses. The magnifying glass is inserted behind the protective glass, not in front of it, to avoid damage from flying sparks and metal splatter. Before purchasing, verify that your helmet has an internal holder for the magnifying glass and what size it accepts. Clean the glass with a soft cloth without solvents to avoid damaging the surface.
