Overview
Dioptre Magnifying Glass for Welding Helmet 1.25 Dioptres Size 11 x 5.5 cm Thickness 3 mm Glass Black Frame For Precise Welding

The dioptre magnifying glass is inserted into the welding helmet behind the protective filter and enlarges the image of the weld pool and the surrounding area. The strength of 1.25 dioptres lies between the weakest and medium values, making it suitable as an intermediate step if a one dioptre is insufficient and one and a half is too much. Glass size 11 x 5.5 cm corresponds to the internal holders of magnifying glasses in standard welding helmets. The glass is set in a black frame with the value printed at the top, so you won't confuse the different strengths. The magnifying glass does not replace the protective filter; it merely supplements the helmet with magnification.

  • Material of glass — the magnifying glass is made of glass, which, unlike plastic, does not scratch easily when wiped.
  • Thickness — the glass has a thickness of 3 mm, ensuring it retains its shape and does not distort the image at the edges.
  • Compatibility — the size 11 x 5.5 cm corresponds to holders in standard welding helmets.
  • Reduction of eye strain — magnification makes it easier to focus on the weld and reduces eye fatigue during longer shifts.
  • Working distance — the medium dioptre value means a slight shortening of the distance from the part compared to weaker magnifying glasses.
  • Work precision — a larger image helps maintain a stable distance of the torch and even laying of the bead.
  • Value marking — the strength is printed directly on the frame, so you know which magnifying glass you have in the helmet.
  • Easy replacement — the magnifying glass can be removed and replaced with another strength according to the type of work at any time.
  • Contents of the package — 1x dioptre magnifying glass

The value of 1.25 dioptres is chosen by welders who find a weaker magnifying glass insufficient, but a stronger one reduces the working distance more than they find acceptable. If you wear reading glasses, select a magnifying glass with a similar value to that of your glasses. The magnifying glass is inserted behind the protective glass, not in front of it, to prevent damage from flying sparks and metal splatter. Before purchasing, check whether your helmet has an internal holder for the magnifying glass and what size it accepts. Clean the glass with a soft cloth without solvents to avoid damaging the surface.
