Connections of size 30 mm typically hold the load-bearing parts of machines, and therefore require a torque that a short spanner cannot provide. This design features a 350 mm long arm, which increases the effective torque while maintaining the same force in hand, and a robust head with a thickness of 17.5 mm, which can easily transmit the load. The socket is ratcheting with fine teeth of 72 teeth, allowing for engagement after just five degrees of rotation. The open fork at the other end has a width of 58 mm and a thickness of 12 mm, making it useful where the socket cannot be fitted over the nut from above. The surface of the spanner is dark grey with a gold-coloured ratchet ring, and the size is embossed on both arms.

  • Size 30 mm — the size used for axle nuts of hydraulic flanges and load-bearing bolts in heavy machinery as well as in agricultural equipment.

The spanner is suitable for use in truck service workshops, agricultural workshops, and for assembling steel structures and piping systems. It is useful wherever the same size nut is repeated, and switching to a standard spanner would cause delays. Before use, it is advisable to clean the nut of dirt to ensure the socket makes full contact and there is no play on the edges. When loosening, apply steady pressure along the axis of the arm and without impacts, as shock loading places the most strain on the teeth inside the head. The ratchet with 72 teeth is mainly used for turning an already loosened connection, replacing dozens of switches with a standard spanner. The dark grey surface can be wiped clean of oil with a single cloth, and the spanner can be stored in a spanner rack or placed back in the drawer with other tools.
