CNC engraving bits with a 45° angle and a tip of 0.3 mm are designed for engravings that need to be prominent, wide, and well visible. The 0.3 mm tip is the widest offered, making the tip very sturdy and able to withstand work loads effectively. The bits feature a pyramid-shaped cutting section with three flutes and are made from sintered carbide. They are secured with a 3.175 mm shank into the collet of a CNC milling machine or engraving machine. The packaging contains 10 pcs of bits with a silver metallic finish.

  • Wide tip 0.3 mm — the area at the end of the tip is three tenths of a millimetre wide. The bottom of the groove is therefore noticeably wider, and the line is clear even without a deep cut.
  • Angle 45° — the moderately wide angle of the tip gives the groove a distinctive V shape. Combined with the wider tip, it creates bolder lines suitable for larger letters and motifs. The lines remain sharp and clearly defined.
  • Sturdy tip — the wider tip contains more material, making it more resistant to breakage. It is suitable where finer bits break too often.
  • Total length — the bit is 31 mm long. The short cutting section is intended for engraving and shallow milling of grooves.
  • Pyramid shape with three flutes — the flutes alternate during rotation in the cut and remove material from all three sides of the tip. This results in a smooth and even cut.
  • Sintered carbide — the bits are made from hard carbide, which is commonly used for CNC engraving tools. Carbide is significantly harder than tool steel and is well suited for cutting tools with a small tip.
  • Shank 3.175 mm — the shank with a diameter of 1/8 inch fits into a collet of the same diameter. If your machine has a 3 mm collet, you will need a 1/8 inch collet.
  • Suitable motifs — larger inscriptions on signs and plaques, logos, house numbers, labels on boards, and decorative patterns that need to be easily readable from a distance.
  • For larger areas — with the wider tip, you cover the line with fewer passes. For larger motifs, this can shorten the work compared to the finest bits.
  • Contents of the package — 10x engraving V-bit 45° x 0.3 mm.

CNC engraving bits with a 45° angle and a tip of 0.3 mm are suitable for prominent engravings that need to be readable from a greater distance. The wide tip provides a sturdy bit that can withstand normal loads well. The bits made from sintered carbide have a length of 31 mm and a shank of 3.175 mm for CNC milling machines and engraving machines. The package of ten pieces is sufficient for longer work and repeated production. You will find them useful in the workshop, for making signs, and for home CNC projects.
