Carpenter's Router 6 x 24 mm Straight Three-Edged TCT Shank 12.7 mm 1/2 inch Tungsten Carbide Blades Router and CNC Silver Wood and Boards

The carpenter's router with a size of 6 x 24 mm features a straight profile and is designed for milling grooves, rebates, and cutouts in wood. The three blades are made of tungsten carbide (TCT) and the working part measures 24 mm. The router is clamped with a 1/2 inch shank with a diameter of 12.7 mm into a router, CNC milling machine, or engraving machine. It is intended for wood and multi-layer chipboard. The router is silver and has a black ring at the top of the shank.

  • Groove width 6 mm — the router creates a groove 6 mm wide with a flat bottom and vertical walls. Such a groove is suitable for joining parts and recessing thinner boards.
  • Depth up to 24 mm — the length of the blades allows milling to a depth of 24 mm. For a clean result and reduced tool load, we recommend gradually increasing the depth in multiple passes.
  • Three alternating blades — during rotation, three blades engage in the cut sequentially. Each removes a smaller chip, resulting in a smoother cut than routers with fewer blades.
  • TCT cutting edges — the blades are made of tungsten carbide, which is harder than tool steel. This material is commonly used for routers for wood and chipboard.
  • Clamping shank — the shank has a diameter of 12.7 mm and is clamped into a collet of the same diameter. A 12 mm collet is not suitable for it, so please check what collet your machine has before purchasing.
  • Tool size — the total length of the router is 72 mm. The tool is compact and the strong shank provides good rigidity in the collet. Choose the depth of shank insertion according to the instructions for your machine.
  • Use in machines — the router can be clamped into a handheld router, milling table, CNC milling machine, or engraving machine if they have a collet for 1/2 inch.
  • Furniture parts — the router is designed for wood and multi-layer chipboard. You will use it when making cabinets, shelves, drawers, frames, and other parts where you need an accurate groove.
  • Safety when milling — always securely tighten the router in the collet and safely clamp the workpiece. Choose an appropriate feed rate and wear protective glasses while working.
  • Package contents — 1x carpenter's router 6 x 24 mm with a 1/2 inch shank.

The carpenter's router 6 x 24 mm is suitable for straight grooves and cutouts in both wood and multi-layer chipboard. The working length of 24 mm is sufficient for both standard and deeper grooves, provided you increase the depth gradually. The three blades made of tungsten carbide remove material smoothly and create a groove with a flat bottom and vertical walls. The 1/2 inch shank is clamped into a router, CNC milling machine, or engraving machine. You will find the router useful in the workshop for furniture making as well as smaller wooden products.
