Overview
Bamboo Blind 50 x 100 cm Softening Harsh Sunlight at the Window on the Balcony or Terrace Tied Slats Cord Pulling Natural Brown Bamboo

The 50 x 100 cm format covers a standard window including the frame, ensuring that sunlight does not bypass the shading on the sides of the glazing and light is softened across the entire surface. The surface of the blind is created by joining thin bamboo slats, which are tied together across the width with cords into one solid unit. Daylight passes only through the gaps between the slats, thus softening the harsh glare and leaving a pleasant diffused light in the room. The length of 100 cm ends approximately at the windowsill, making it suitable for a standard window, above a worktop, or above a flower box. The pulling mechanism is managed by a cord on the side, and the blind aligns into a roll at the top edge when raised. Natural brown bamboo retains the pattern of individual stems, allowing the blind to serve both as shading and as a decoration for the window wall.

  • Width 50 cm — the strip covers the window including the frame or the gap between two posts of a pergola, ensuring that light does not penetrate around the edges.
  • Length 100 cm — the surface ends approximately at the windowsill, so it does not obstruct the space below the window and leaves room for heating, shelves, or a planter.
  • Tied bamboo slats — slats connected by cords create a solid and straight strip without waviness, folds, or the need for tensioning.
  • Cord pulling — the side cord raises the blind up or lowers it back and intermediate positions can be held depending on where the sun is shining.
  • Breathable shade — air passes through the gaps between the slats, preventing the creation of a hot and stuffy area behind the blind as would occur with a full fabric curtain.
  • Natural brown bamboo — the warm shade complements wooden elements, wicker, and neutral plaster in both the interior and on the covered balcony.

Contents of the package:

  • 1x bamboo blind 50 x 100 cm

The blind is suitable for the kitchen, study, or covered balcony, where it is sufficient to shade the window above the work surface while leaving the space below it free. The cord operates smoothly to ensure that the slats roll up evenly and the bottom edge of the strip does not rest at an angle on one side. Bamboo is a natural material, so the shade may vary slightly from piece to piece and the surface will gradually acquire a fine patina, which is not a defect. Prolonged soaking and standing in rain can damage bamboo, so in winter the blind should be rolled up and stored in a dry and ventilated space. Maintenance involves dry dusting or wiping along the slats with a cloth; wet cleaning and soaking are not recommended. A rolled-up blind takes up little storage space and can be easily re-hung in the spring.
