The brushless motor has no carbon brushes, so wear is concentrated only on the bearing part and operational life starts at 30,000 hours. The shaft made of stainless steel 316 does not corrode even with prolonged contact with water, which is useful for circuits that remain filled. The chamber must be filled before starting, as running dry will break the impeller. It is better to filter murky water and regularly flush the chamber to prevent sediment and magnetically conductive particles from clogging the rotor. The hose connection holds best with a clamp, as the fitting itself seals only by the pressure of the slid-on hose. The power supply must remain direct current and within the range of 24 V, whether it is the supplied adapter, a battery, or a transformer marked DC.
