You already have the maximum available quantity in your cart.
The Chinese Metasequoia (Metasequoia glyptostroboides) is a remarkable deciduous conifer, often referred to as a living fossil, as it was long known only from fossils. The tree forms a regular conical crown, which displays orange, rusty, and brown tones in autumn before the delicate foliage falls. Metasequoia thrives near water, where its autumn colours are best highlighted by reflections on the surface. The pack contains 1000 seeds, providing a substantial supply for growing a variety of trees and for repeated sowings. Growing trees from seeds is an interesting and economical way to obtain your own trees from scratch.
Key Features:
- Deciduous conifer — unlike most conifers, Metasequoia sheds its foliage in winter, which turns warm tones beforehand.
- Orange-brown autumn colouring — the delicate foliage turns shades of orange, rusty, and brown in autumn, creating an impressive effect visible from afar.
- Regular conical crown — the tree grows upright, forming a symmetrical crown, making it a striking specimen on lawns and in park plantings.
- Botanical curiosity — Metasequoia is among the so-called living fossils, making it an ornament and curiosity in any garden.
- Suitable for wet conditions — the tree thrives in moist sites and near water bodies, where its colouring stands out, appreciated by owners of gardens with ponds.
- Pack of 1000 seeds — a large quantity of seeds suitable for extensive plantings, nurseries, or growers wishing to sow repeatedly at different times.
- Growing from seeds — you can observe the entire development of the tree from germination to young sapling, obtaining plants nurtured by your own care, especially appreciated by patient growers.
- For patient growers — growing a tree from seed is a long-term project that brings joy at every stage of growth.
