Chinese Metasequoia Seeds Metasequoia glyptostroboides 100 pcs Deciduous Conifer with Orange-Brown Autumn Foliage For Gardens and Parks
You already have the maximum available quantity in your cart.
The Chinese Metasequoia (Metasequoia glyptostroboides) is a remarkable deciduous conifer, often referred to as a living fossil, as it was long known only from fossils. The tree forms a regular conical crown that displays orange, rusty, and brown tones in autumn before the delicate needles fall. Metasequoia thrives near water, where its autumn colours are best highlighted by reflections on the surface. The pack contains 100 seeds, providing a substantial supply for growing multiple trees as well as for repeated sowings. Growing trees from seeds is an interesting and economical way to cultivate your own trees from scratch.
Key Features:
- Deciduous conifer — unlike most conifers, Metasequoia sheds its needles in winter, which turn warm shades beforehand.
- Orange-brown autumn colouring — the delicate needles turn orange, rusty, and brown in autumn, creating an impressive effect visible from afar.
- Regular conical crown — the tree grows upright and forms a symmetrical crown, making it a striking specimen in lawns and park plantings.
- Botanical interest — Metasequoia is classified as a living fossil, adding beauty and intrigue to any garden.
- Suitable for wet areas — the tree thrives in moist habitats and near water bodies, where its colours stand out, appreciated by garden owners with ponds.
- Pack of 100 seeds — a large quantity of seeds increases the chance of successfully growing multiple trees and allows for sowing at various times according to your convenience.
- Growing from seeds — you can monitor the entire development of the tree from germination to a young sapling, gaining plants nurtured by your own care, which is especially valued by patient gardeners.
- For patient growers — growing a tree from seed is a long-term project that brings joy at every stage of growth.
