Overview
Musa thomsonii Banana Seeds 10 pcs Hardier Variety with Striking Wine Purple Flower Exotic Plant for Garden and Greenhouse

Musa thomsonii is a banana plant that captivates with its striking inflorescence and belongs to the hardier varieties. The large wine purple teardrop-shaped flower bud gradually opens to reveal rows of small yellowish blooms, as seen in the blooming inflorescence. This species is popular among growers who attempt to cultivate banana plants even in cooler conditions than those typically preferred by bananas. The pack contains 10 seeds, allowing you to grow several plants at once and select the strongest ones. It can be cultivated in pots, greenhouses, conservatories, or in a sheltered outdoor location.

Key Features:

  • Wine Purple Flower — the striking teardrop-shaped bud in deep wine tones is one of the plant's main attractions and creates an unmistakable element during flowering.
  • Yellow Blooms — beneath the bracts of the inflorescence, rows of small yellowish blooms emerge, creating a delicate colour contrast to the dark bracts.
  • Hardier Variety — Musa thomsonii is among the more resilient banana plants, making it sought after by growers in cooler regions where standard varieties do not thrive.
  • Green Leaves — large elongated leaves give the plant a typical tropical appearance and create a striking green feature.
  • Suitable for Pot Cultivation and Outdoors — the plant thrives in pots in a greenhouse or conservatory as well as in a sheltered outdoor location according to your options.
  • Collector's Interest — the stunning inflorescence adds a unique specimen to any collection of exotic plants.
  • Pack of 10 Seeds — a larger number of seeds increases the chances of successfully growing multiple plants and allows for repeated sowing at different times.
  • Growing from Seeds — you can observe the entire development of the plant from germination to a young banana plant and obtain specimens grown with your own care, which is especially appreciated by patient growers.
