This is an eye-catching tropical plant suitable for growing in containers, in greenhouses, in conservatories, or outside in a sheltered spot during the warmer months. Growing from seeds is a rewarding activity for gardeners seeking an unusual plant and wanting to observe its development from the first sprouts. The seeds are intended for sowing and subsequent cultivation in containers or in the garden.
The prominent yellow-orange bracts with red speckles are among the most distinctive features of this plant and create a strong tropical impression. The large green leaves complement the appearance of the plant and give it a fresh character. The pack of 10 seeds provides enough material for repeated sowings or for growing multiple plants simultaneously.
Heliconia champneiana Splash is popular among gardeners looking for an impressive tropical plant grown from seeds for containers or gardens. Young plants initially produce small leaves, from which upright leafy stems gradually emerge. Growing in a container allows the plant to be moved outside during the warmer months and kept safe during the cold season. The grown plant can be used as a striking specimen or as an addition to a conservatory.
