This set contains 200 seeds of the ornamental tree Ficus religiosa, known in English as the sacred fig and popularly as the bodhi tree. From these tiny seeds, a plant with striking green heart-shaped leaves with pointed tips and a sturdy trunk will grow, making it popular for bonsai cultivation. It is a decorative plant suitable for growing indoors, on windowsills, in conservatories, and as a house plant. Growing from seeds is a rewarding and long-term activity for cultivators who love figs and want to observe their development from the first sprouts. The seeds are intended for sowing and subsequent indoor cultivation.
The characteristic heart-shaped green leaves with a tapered tip are among the most distinctive features of this fig tree, making it an ideal plant for bonsai shaping. The sturdy trunk and dense crown give the plant a striking appearance. The pack of 200 seeds provides ample material for repeated sowings or for growing multiple plants simultaneously.
Ficus religiosa is popular among growers seeking an ornamental plant grown from seeds as a house plant or future bonsai. Young plants initially produce small leaves, from which a leafy stem gradually develops, eventually becoming a branched woody plant. Growing in a pot allows for observing the entire development of the plant and shaping it over time. The grown fig tree can be used as a house plant, a solitary specimen, or as a base for bonsai cultivation.
