Youth Protection Policy

The safety and well-being of minors are Lunzo’s highest priority.

This Youth Protection Policy sets out the rules and measures applied by Lunzo to ensure the safety of young people when using the Lunzo platform. The document also describes how Lunzo protects children’s privacy in relation to their personal data.

For the purposes of these policies, “minors” means all persons under the age of eighteen (18). In some countries, this age limit may be higher, and buyers are required to comply with local legal regulations.

Age-restricted products

Under Lunzo’s Prohibited Items Policy, it is not permitted to offer age-restricted goods for sale, such as alcohol or tobacco.

For certain products offered by third parties via the Lunzo platform, the law requires verification of the buyer’s age before the parcel is handed over. Lunzo requires sellers to apply such procedures whenever required by law.

Lunzo applies a zero-tolerance policy towards harmful or age-inappropriate content intended for minors. We operate a Notice and Takedown process, and any illegal content is removed without delay once reported, with measures taken to prevent its reappearance.

If, despite these measures, some sellers manage to circumvent our rules and inappropriate products appear on the platform, Lunzo will remove them immediately once identified.

Sellers who violate this Youth Protection Policy may be subject to disciplinary measures, including permanent account suspension.

If you encounter content that you believe should not be available on the Lunzo platform, please report it via the Notice and Takedown procedure under the Lunzo Third-Party Complaints Policy. Such reports are handled with the highest priority.

Customer accounts on Lunzo

Users must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to independently purchase products from sellers via Lunzo.

Anyone over the age of 18 may create an account provided they have a valid email address and one of the supported payment methods (e.g. Visa, Mastercard, etc.).

Minors under the age of 18 may not create an account or make purchases without the consent and supervision of a legal guardian. The account must be registered in the name and with the details of the parent or guardian, who bears full responsibility for all activities carried out on the account.

Selling on Lunzo

To register for and use Lunzo’s services, an individual must be at least 18 years old. If a person is not of legal age under the laws of their country, registration must be completed by a parent or guardian who manages the account and assumes legal responsibility for it.

All personal and payment details associated with the account must belong to that legal guardian.

Protection of minors’ privacy

Lunzo’s services are not intended for children, and Lunzo does not knowingly collect personal data from minors. Under our Terms and Conditions, children are not permitted to use our services.

This section describes how Lunzo handles any data that may be obtained from a user under the age of 18. If you are a minor and are unsure about anything, please ask a parent or legal guardian for assistance.

If parents or guardians have any questions, Lunzo has appointed a Data Protection Officer who can be contacted at safety@lunzo.ie.

Together with our Privacy Policy, this policy describes what types of data may be collected and how such data is handled.

As stated above, Lunzo’s services are not intended for minors, and no one under the age of 18 may use them without the supervision and consent of an adult who is the account holder.

By using Lunzo’s services, you acknowledge that your data may be processed in Ireland and in other countries where Lunzo operates. Data is processed exclusively in accordance with our Privacy Policy, and Lunzo never knowingly “sells” (within the meaning of applicable laws) users’ personal data, including that of minors.

On an account held by an adult, Lunzo may collect and process, for example:

  • information provided by the user during registration or when placing an order,
  • technical information obtained when visiting the website (IP address, time zone, login data),
  • information from third parties (e.g. business partners or other websites operated by Lunzo).

These examples are not exhaustive. For further details, please refer to our Privacy Policy, which sets out how data is collected, used, and disclosed.
